Makrinitsa’s cobblestone streets wind through traditional stone houses and grand mansions, showcasing the distinctive Pelion architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The village’s main square, Plateia Eirinis, is a vibrant hub shaded by ancient plane trees. Here, you’ll find the legendary “Immortal Fountain,” said to grant long life to those who drink from it.
